Dysport

What is it Like to Get Dysport?

Dysport is similar to Botox. It uses a nerve-blocker to relax tense muscles that cause wrinkles. Dysport uses smaller protein molecules than Botox, which means it spreads more easily under your skin. The experts at Bella Lei helps their patients decide which product will work best for their skin type and individual needs.

Does it Hurt to Get Dysport?

Dysport only takes about 20 minutes and it is administered through tiny injections. The needles are so small that you experience very little pain. You may have slight swelling or redness after, but most people immediately return to work or other scheduled activities. In two weeks or less, you should see a big reduction in your wrinkles. The effects can last for up to three months.

Anything else I should Know About Getting Dysport?

Dysport is for adults who want to relax deep wrinkles or halt the deepening of lighter wrinkles. It is widely used and considered very safe, although it hasn’t been tested with pregnant women. If you are allergic to cow’s milk protein (which is not the same thing as being lactose-intolerant), you should opt for Botox rather than Dysport. You should avoid all NSAIDS (aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve, Advil) for a couple of days before treatment to minimize any possibility of bruising. Eating pineapple or taking Bromelain or Arnica supplements is also helpful.

Many patients at Bella Lei combine Dysport or Botox with fillers to drastically improve the appearance of their skin.  Additionally, Bella Lei offers clinical skincare and a variety of aesthetic services to restore the youth of their skin.
