No Needles Zero injections or blood draws · No Surgery Non-invasive laser + serum · Dual Technology LaseMD Ultra + KeraFactor · Minimal Downtime Return to routine quickly
At Bella Lei Aesthetics & Optimal Wellness in Fleming Island, Florida, we offer KeraLase™, an advanced, non-surgical treatment designed to improve scalp health and support fuller, healthier-looking hair—without injections or the downtime associated with more invasive procedures.
KeraLase combines two technologies in one treatment: the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra™ laser and KeraFactor® serum. We’re not simply putting a hair serum on top of your scalp. We’re preparing the scalp to receive it.
The Lutronic LaseMD Ultra™ utilizes a 1927 nm thulium laser to create tiny, non-ablative microchannels in the scalp. These microchannels temporarily increase the permeability of the skin, preparing it for the topical serum application.
The proprietary KeraFactor Peptide Complex™ (KFP™) contains biomimetic growth factors and skin proteins encapsulated in nanoliposomes, tiny delivery vehicles designed to help the formula penetrate the scalp more effectively through the laser-created channels.
This is one of the most common questions we hear, and no: we’re not using the laser to remove hair. LaseMD Ultra creates controlled microscopic channels in the scalp. This temporarily increases permeability and allows the KeraFactor formulation to be delivered more effectively than simply applying a product to untreated skin.
Unlike some microneedling-based hair restoration treatments, KeraLase does not require needles or blood draws, making it an especially comfortable option.
KeraLase may be an option for men and women experiencing concerns such as:
One important thing to understand about hair restoration is that earlier treatment is generally preferable to waiting until significant hair loss has occurred. If you’ve started noticing changes in your hair, you don’t have to wait until they become severe to have your scalp evaluated.
One of the biggest advantages of KeraLase is how approachable the treatment is. Your provider passes the specialized LaseMD Ultra handpiece over the treatment areas of the scalp to create the microscopic channels. KeraFactor is then applied and massaged into the scalp.
There are no injections, no blood draws, no PRP preparation, and no surgical incisions. Most patients tolerate treatment well, and there is typically minimal downtime.
Both treatments are used within the world of non-surgical hair restoration, but they work very differently. For patients who are uncomfortable with needles or scalp injections, KeraLase can be an especially appealing option.

Neither treatment is automatically right for every patient. Hair loss can have many different causes, so the first step should be determining what you’re experiencing and whether you’re an appropriate candidate.
KeraLase is typically performed as a series rather than a one-time treatment. A commonly used protocol consists of six treatments performed approximately every two weeks over 12 weeks, although your Bella Lei provider may recommend a different schedule based on your individual needs.
Downtime is generally minimal. Your scalp may appear mildly pink or feel sensitive following treatment. Your provider will give you specific instructions regarding washing your hair, hair products, sun exposure, and your at-home regimen.
Absolutely. Your at-home routine can be an important part of a comprehensive hair-restoration plan. KeraFactor offers complementary at-home products designed to support the scalp between professional treatments. Your Bella Lei provider can recommend an appropriate regimen based on your hair and scalp needs.
Hair grows slowly, so this is not an overnight treatment. Patients may begin noticing changes as they progress through their treatment series, with improvements developing over time as the hair moves through its natural growth cycle. Results vary based on factors including the cause and extent of hair loss, age, genetics, health, and consistency with the recommended treatment plan.
No, and that’s an important distinction. Hair loss isn’t one condition. Hormonal changes, genetics, stress, nutritional deficiencies, medications, illness, and different forms of alopecia can all contribute to shedding or thinning.
That’s why we believe in evaluation before treatment. Instead of simply selling you a package because you’re losing hair, we want to understand what’s happening and determine whether KeraLase, or another approach, makes sense for you.
When it comes to hair restoration, patients often wait much longer than they should. You don’t need to have a bald spot before asking about treatment.
If your ponytail feels smaller, your part looks wider, you’re seeing more scalp than you used to, or you’re noticing significantly more hair in the shower, those changes are worth discussing. The sooner we understand what’s happening, the sooner we can talk about your options.
KeraLase combines two technologies: the Lutronic LaseMD Ultra thulium laser creates non-ablative microchannels in the scalp, then KeraFactor serum with biomimetic growth factors is applied topically for enhanced delivery. It is a non-surgical, needle-free hair restoration treatment.
KeraLase may benefit men and women experiencing thinning hair, decreased hair density, a widening part, early-stage pattern hair loss, a receding hairline, increased shedding, or overall concerns about scalp and hair health. A consultation is necessary to determine candidacy.
The provider passes the LaseMD Ultra handpiece over the scalp to create microscopic channels, then KeraFactor serum is applied and massaged in. There are no injections, no blood draws, no PRP preparation, and no surgical incisions. Most patients tolerate treatment well with minimal downtime.
With PRP, blood is drawn and processed to concentrate platelets, then injected into the scalp. KeraLase requires no blood draw and no scalp injections. Instead, LaseMD Ultra creates microscopic channels that facilitate topical delivery of KeraFactor serum. It may be especially appealing for patients uncomfortable with needles.
