Master Injector

What is a Master Injector?

Injectables and fillers are becoming more and more popular each year and with that comes more and more providers.  Finding a business that administers injectables is easy and some are more affordable than others.  But with that being said,  you (quite literally) get what you pay for.  You should never get injected by someone that is not a licensed physician, a physician’s assistant, or nurse practitioner.

However, even if someone has the right qualifications on paper, that does not necessarily mean they have the expertise you are looking for.  It is critical to find a medical professional that has received a specialized education, had extensive training, has the correct licensing, and is a true master of their craft (AKA, a Master Injector).

“A master injector is a credentialed medical professional with a track record of creating exceptional results and prioritizing patient safety. Characteristics of a master injector include:

  • Experience administering aesthetic injections
  • Skill in safely producing desired results
  • Knowledge of facial anatomy (both for safety and aesthetic purposes)
  • Familiarity with the risks and benefits of available products
  • Ability to tailor their approach to serve individual goals”

You Get What You Pay For

It may be tempting to go with the cheapest you can find when it comes to fillers and injectables, but consider both the risks and your overall desired outcome first.

“Ninety percent of the success of these kinds of cosmetic treatments depends on who is doing them,” explains dermatologist Whitney Bowe, clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital. “The remaining 10 percent is dependent on the product.” Think of it this way: If you got a bad haircut, would you blame the scissors or your stylist?

A Groupon deal for $50 Botox is a red flag you might end up on an episode of Botched. (Shady practices include diluting the product so that it’s not as effective—unethical in terms of misrepresenting what’s being sold—and illegally purchasing black-market knockoffs from China.)” Source
